I have a mid 70's D-35 (and a D-40C as well) and it's a real nice guitar. Mine has a beautiful sunburst as well. I have several good acoustics (see signature) and the Guild is one of the best sounding I think. If course it depends on your style and needs but if your a strummer- I find Guilds to be among the best for that. It's not my first choice for intricate stuff- that goes to my Larrivee and Martin (Taylor too...) but for great accompaniment- hard to beat a Guild.
