I've played several, both Martins and the Blueridge imitation of the same design, in rosewood, mahogany and sapele, and all of them had prominent midrange responses. It seems to be a characteristic of that design.

Thanks for the info, I'm not looking for a tonewood with especially strong mid response, as both mahogany and maple can provides the mids I need, but I would like to ad to the stable a guitar kind of rosewood sounding, but just with a little bit less scooped mids register and without those metallic, zingy as someone here said, trebles which really hurt my ears haha, but waouw those macassar ebony pictures look great ! I'll take a YT research about those Martin Norman Blake model too
