John has completed building the tapered (3-1/2" @ the neck block and 4"@ the end block) EIR rims for my Rhapsody. Since the back is carved and without ladder braces or a reinforcement strip it adds some extra depth and volume to the box (similar to a Martin 0000 or M size). John used kerfed Spanish Cedar linings, Sitka Spruce reinforcement strips and Honduran Mahogany end and neck blocks.
