Default 1951 Martin 00-18 Vintage Acoustic Guitar *Price Drop*

1951 Martin 00-18 Vintage Acoustic Guitar.
$2249 + shipping
I purchased this guitar last year from a relative of Hank Snow. It currently plays really well and sounds huge.....it has years of mojo built into this thing. Everything is original on this guitar!! It has pick wear from use on the top. It also has the infamous B-string crack so common on these old Martins. The crack is stable. The action is 5/32" at the 12th fret. The previous owner informed me that this guitar was owned and played by Hank Snow. The guitar does have tell tale signs of belonging to Hank Snow. Hank's idol was Jimmie Rodgers and Jimmie played a 00-18 almost exclusively. It makes sense that Hank would own one of these even though he was known for playing Martin Dreadnaught size guitars, especially later in his career. It has some holes in the back of the headstock (easily filled) which were used for a strap, consistent with the way Hank would use a strap on his guitars. It also has the obvious belt buckle wear on the back, another sign of Hank and his custom suits. The previous owner played it as is, and I do as well. I always had the intention of keeping this one but funds are tight right now. Guitar will be shipped insured and carefully packed.
