As a relative beginner (little over a year in) and playing 100% acoustic, I'll say most of the time I'm quite content to keep things unplugged, but then when I hear something like this:
I'm immediately looking at listings for used Les Pauls. I'll probably resist for awhile longer, but I definitely lust for an electric, not to play in a band or anything, but just to explore a different avenue of guitar playing. I'll surely get one eventually...
