Well thanks for that. Poco and Rusty Young in particular never got their due!
I was a Poconut in the early 70's before that was a word
and before they had any hits. I'm ok with the later stuff, but really loved the first couple of versions of the band.
Fast forward 40 years, I did see a band that called themselves Poco a few years back. Rusty was with them but he played very little pedal steel. He was the front man and did an admirable job, it was a nice show. But it was a little bit like seeing a tribute band--not that there is anything wrong with that.
One thing I couldn't figure out was the encore--On the Way Home. I guess they did that for folks who thought they were at a Neil Young show
