There's some really tasty choices in here. An ES-335 and Super Reverb is a great pairing, as is a nice Strat with vintage voiced pickups. Clear, shimmering chime for days!
Seems to be a couple of schools of thought. A newer amp offering great flexibility of tones, or a classic model that offers a limited, but really excellent, palette to choose from.

Love my ES-335 through both a Princeton Reverb and a Vox AC4HW!
It's hard to choose a single guitar and amp because there are too many days in the year.
