This is all very informative! With an Opus X-20 incoming I am glad to hear many nice reviews of the K&K. I have them in a few of my wood guitars and really like them. I, too, do not want any more electronics than needed in the axe.
I love the Red Eye DI with everything I have plugged into it. It is super simple and makes the KK sound even better!
