I'm afraid by trimming the front and moving it forward I would rob the tennon of room and scoot the fingerboard toward the soundboard too far making it impossible to fit flush the fingerboard and soundboard ...
apparently the precut 14 fret necks have a longer tenon than the 12 frets
still thinking on this
My only option may be to trim the back.
