I saw a used stock Larrivee L-03R on e-bay for $800.
I tried a lot of 12 strings (Taylor, Martin, Larrivee, Yamaha and others) and ended up ordering a Larrivee back in late 2004 with a mahogany top, venetian cutaway and bone nut/saddle. If you haven't tried one, you don't know what you are missing.
This is great for fingerpicking and strumming and this is great for Gordon Lightfoot (Early Morning Rain, Carefree Highway, Canadian Railroad Trilogy to name a few).
You can also find an old Gibson 12 string like he plays for a fairly reasonable price.
