I have family in the Lafayette area, and a nephew who worked at CA for a while. He was telling me back in December that he thought the company was in trouble. He said they had a very high rate of guitars that were "recycled" due to flaws and other QC issues, so much so that it really hurt their production numbers. I think they had lost some of their more talented employees, and were having trouble replacing that experience. He said some other things too, but I won't go into that, as it's just hearsay.
