Hello once again! Unfortunately, this isn't another build thread (not yet at least) but I have just gotten some information from Joel Michaud of Michaud Made Guitars (
www.MichaudMade.com) about his impending base price raise from USD$4,500 to USD$6,000 scheduled to start in December 2015 and he will only be taking on very few more build slots before closing his build list at the start of 2016 due to overwhelming demand. The waiting time for a Michaud Made currently stands at 2.5 years.
The price increment is to meet demand, as well as stay more inline with the build quality of his instruments. Joel takes a lot of pride in his instruments and believes that proper and cohesive design is very important, and has never felt right with having to worry about extra costs for intricate rosettes, backstrips, endgrafts and so on as these are in some ways what defines a Michaud Made guitar. These are therefore included in his base price as well. I have included some photos of his latest work below.
