Here are some photos of some custom Cocobolo Sapwood buttons on the Waverly three-on-a-plate tuners made by luthier Burton LeGeyt. I suspect the color of the sapwood is a bit lighter in color than they appear in these informal shots (the camera is metering off the spruce).
