Well lots of views, and no comments. My music store advised me that I needed a microphone that was made to transmit via USB cable, and so I picked up a Blue Snowball USB to condenser mic. I downloaded Open Camera app to my phone which allows me to now choose external mic in video settings. Plugged the USB cable in and now the sound quality is much improved, and at least better than the phone microphone. Could be better but it was a 50 dollar experiment. The do make much better usb mics. At least I know it is possible.
