I felt that even though I would pay a little more at his place, that trying different guitars, side by side, within seconds of each other, is worth it.
I just bought a Bourgeois JOM custom madi/adi 1 23/32" nut from a musician in Portland, Oregon on this forum. Feel the size, style of play, voice, etc, all fit better than the Collings at this point for ME.
The Collings is a great guitar, look forward to finding it a new home.
