I had the chance to play an original Dyer this past year, just after a good rehab. I have to say that it would sure take some getting used to. It had great tone and responsiveness, but was a little soft for me personally. It'd be nice to have one around long enough to figure out how best to use it....sort of like other odd-ducks like a seven-string or something.
