I have a 17" Campellone Special - it's my #1 guitar. Good acoustic and electric sound. The pickup and tone/volume controls are mounted on the pick guard, and connected to the end pin jack via a cable w/RCA (phono) connector. To convert it too a strictly acoustic instrument, you can unplug the pick guard and remove it (and all electronics) completely. Not sure why you would want to, except to satisfy a purist aesthetic. I think that Mark's guitars are one of the best deals around on a hand made arch top.
