Without taking away from any of the luthiers here at AGF and others, Mike Baranik is the Picasso of his generation. His aesthetics are exquisite, his tone haunting. These are his unobtainium woods. This is a lifetime guitar, and could satisfy a professional until they shuffle off their mortal coil.
I have a guitar almost identical to this, so I have no dog in this fight, except for a few things:
1) Mike is a stealth master builder
2) of course I want to see him succeed
3) if I didn't own an almost identical guitar i would have kidnapped Eric until he acquiesced to my demands.
4) the asking price is at least 20% less than what you'd be quoted from Mike, and youd have to wait two years.
i lust after this guitar like no other. My Meridian does what a magical instrument should do: make a good guitarist sound like a demigod. Please buy this before I am forced to rob a bank.
