Of course without a pic, it difficult to visualize what you are asking regarding replacement or repair but bear this in mind....

Piezo elements do NOT like heat. Nothing causes total failure like too much heat from a soldering iron.

If a connection is to be made right on the element itself, consider using a silver impregnated conductive type of epoxy found at electronics hobby stores.

Most piezo elements are basically the same aside from the various saddle sizes of course.
