Default EJ-200 saddle replacement

hey all,

so i'm loving my new EJ-200, but when i changed my strings out i noticed that the saddle seems to be glued in and can't be removed (at least easily). i also noticed that whatever it is made of seems to chip quite easily, i see several marks in it where the strings hit, so i forsee a problem if i play any percussive tapping on it. is there a way to remove the saddle? i'll probably swap it out for a bone one very soon if i see it chipping more, i already have a bit of minor string buzz that is starting to bother me because of the extremely low action.
