Playing cross-tuned in open G
Originally recorded on my first CD, Crossing Crystal Lake, this is The Light In The Distance.
It's played in open G tuning, capo 2, but played off the IV chord, hence key of D.
The closest equivalent would be when a C harmonica is played in the key of G, which is referred to as cross-harp.
It's one of the 'churchiest' pieces I've composed, especially coming up from the IImin, etc.
Enjoy!
