I dunno... not every old guitar is a great guitar, and if you invest much in this one, it would have to be because it's worth it to you, personally, since the market is small and fussy, and with companies inexplicably producing inexpensive retro archtops in a volume that seems bigger than the number of purchasers, they may be becoming less valuable as time passes. Personally, I would either go for a true, high-value classic archtop, or purchase one of the new ones. I hope you are able to do whatever you decide you want most.
