I use Martin SP light-mediums (.0125-.055) with excellent results, most notably improved intonation and reduced tendency for normal finger pressure to bend strings sharp. This gives me the benefits of going heavier without going up to mediums, which could do some damage. Taylor might still refuse warranty work on my Baby-M, but it's been three or four years now and the guitar shows no signs of impending damage.
