It might be a shot in the dark, but take your battery out and see if things improve. I had a problem once with some strange buzzing tones, really drove me nuts. I've found that some batteries in the black holders vibrated at certain frequencies. I wrap my batteries with a little tape to make sure they don't rattle when I play. I make sure they have a snug fit in the compartment.
