The Salmon Spruce is a new one. But good wood deserves to end up--finally--in guitars. My favorite example is "winewood", which is redwood whose first gig was in large wine vats. Not sure it can walk a straight line, or carry a tune after the duty it was pressed into, but now it's free to try.
What effects on the Sitka's color did its underwater stint produce?
