Have been trying to figure out this Ryan Adams song, "Oh My Sweet Valentine"

Three things that are stumping me.
(1) the exact fingering for the intro and verse runs. It starts on A, 1st position, and then hammers the F# on the D string, and then (I think) up to B, with the hammer on the G#. But he seems to be doing something different with the fingering that I just can't figure out.
(2) The single note run-down in each chorus line (I have those in question marks below). I know each line ends in a D chord, 1st position, but I cannot figure out how he gets there.
(3) The single note run down in the bridge, lines 3 and 4 (questions marks there too), as well as the chord in the last "Some(?)times."
