You might experiment with lighter-tension strings. I don't know anything about the Rainsong, but with lightly built guitars, hard-tension strings can sometimes actually exert so much force that they, in essence, limit the movement of the top. So on some guitars, lighter-tension strings can actually increase the responsiveness/volume.
