Quoddy Head in Lubec, Maine is another picturesque area, if you don't mind the drive.
Maine is ruggedly beautiful. (I think Joan says the same about me... well, except for the "beautiful" part. I'm OK with "pretty," though.) We plan to extend our time here for a few days and have made reservations further south along the coast, after that. Schoodic has been my favorite part of Acadia, but biking on the carriage/bike trails is a close second...
