Fazool, Thanks for your question. I've been playing with this invention for a while now and I haven't noticed a difference in the guitar sound. What I've done to have more ranges of sounds is I took the design of a cajon and I revamped it and shrunk it down so that there is a rattle mechanism that will give you similar sounds. I've also got a patent pending status on it also FYI. I think this video shows more of a cajon style beat that will answer your question.
