I post this in case some of you have not really heard of Nick Drake.
He lived a short life in England. He picked up the guitar in his late teens, and created three albums in his short life. He was not at all well known back then, and he became frustrated. His guitar playing still astounds people today. His strings sound archaic and no one is quite sure what guitar(s) he used. He employed alternate tunings, and his songs bear fruit to repeated listening. His stories are whimsical, sad, wise and wistful. My favorite album would be 'Five Leaves Left;' it is mostly just acoustic guitar with dashes of strings.
