The thing I’ve done is order well before I need.
I keep enough strings on hand to string all seven of my guitars.
If I have less than seven sets on hand, I order.
So, I suppose I have strings lying about innmy toolbox.
But I’m never in a position that I have to wait for Strings I need right now.
The only time it’s ever bitten me in the butt was when I was trying to find the set my Taylor 12 string liked beat.
When I was ready to order more, they have them up on the website, but they’ve been out of stock for a couple of years.
