Know what kinda bummed me out? The almost total dismissal of alternative Tonewoods at the end of the article, mentioning 4 piece backs or composites rather than some of the very viable alternative woods out there.
The thread on Indian Rosewood availability serves as a nice companion to this one (esp. Alan Carruth's comments).
I like what Larrivee, Taylor and to an extent Gibson are doing to try to open the door for alternative woods.
