I put some D'Addario EJ16 strings on my sister's Yamaha recently and I thought they sounded quite good. Of course, there are tons of options to try. I use a lot of Martin SP 80/20 strings, too, but for my ears, I think they would be a little bright on the Yamaha.
Strings are relatively cheap -- have fun with experimentation.
