The echo setting that I'm using on the Fishman Loudbox gives a subtle shuffle push to the half time feel.
The time, and amount of echo make all the difference.

Nice playing! I didn't hear the echo until a minute or so into it, and while it was a nice subtle effect, I think it would have sounded fine without it.
Before I listened I thought you might have been employing some kind of more obvious delay/loop effect, a la John Martyn. (Haven't posted a JM video for some time, so any excuse....
)
