I certainly admire your tenacity, and love of traditional ways.
I'm sure it's the same reason you questioned my use of chorus & delay when I first posted 'Rumble Strut', the opening track on my 'The Wall Talks' cd.
The fact that I hear the track as 'just sitting there' when done in a purely acoustic fashion, and you don't is what it is: I am, more now than ever, trying to serve the song performance (live or on record), and you're more about serving tradition, and neither is better than the other.
Stick to your guns, always.
