Off the top of my head:
Peter Townshend
George Harrison
Roddy Frame
Jonathan Edwards
James Taylor
Stephen Bishop
Everly Brothers
Paul Weller
John Spillane
Christy Moore
America
Neil Finn
John Denver
Eric Carmen/Raspberries
XTC
Very early Everything But Girl
Nick Heyward
Older Billy Bragg
Orleans
Thin Lizzy
I can't say I play like some of these artists listed. But they've all influenced me, in myriad ways. They all push my songwriting style. My vocal arrangements sometimes seem very much influenced by the melodic style of Phil Lynott. I guess my playing style is more towards Townshend and the Everly Brothers, with a bit of Frame, Finn and Bishop - or so I try! I play only acoustic these days...
