Yes, I did, with a Warmoth body and neck. I had John Monteleone shoot the finish for me.
I had Pete Biltoft make the pickups for me. I picked out all the hardware and also had a hum cancelling system built by Ilitch Kuriatchky (sp). I had Mike Christian do the assembly.
I spec’d Dunlop SS6100 fret wire, a boatneck profile with 1.75” nut width, etc. It’s really easy to have a great electric with the available items.
The hard part is knowing what you need as a player, but for me that’s easy because I’m not concerned with tradition.
