Recording yourself also helps, a cheap zoom recorder is worth considering if the quality of the recording on your phone disappoints.



Playing with others and learning to sing while playing added a lot to my enjoyment and also it encouragement me to practice more.


I've been trying to use the metronome more. I haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. My timing/rhythm needs help. I'm trying to sing along with my playing too. Way harder than I thought it would be but I see the value in it.
