The growth rings/grain are wide and often very weak, and looks ugly as to my eye, but it has what I hear as a bright "metallic" tone that should go well with warmer b&s.



If I was having a custom guitar made, it would likely be bunya/blackwood - your nice b&s are what brought it to mind.
Must be something wrong with my eyes, it looks very nice to me.
