Nice lookin' Uke's I've been wanting to build one of those for a while now.

David, I do suggest you run this tread in the Custom Shop as the audience here is mostly techs, and smaller. Also, pictures wider than 14" at 72 dpi make reading these post challengining on a tablet, and actually give you no bigger a picture on screen. If you do want a bigger and denser image, link it to the one in the thread and it will open in a new window.

Interesting bracing on the uke top, is it to have steel strings?

Bruce, Thanks for the info. will do.
I don't do x bracing on the smaller sizes of Ukes but do on the Baritones. It's very light bracing! I don't usually put the lower cross brace in and rather let the whole lower bout be open which gives a really nice pop to the attack whereas the x keeps it all together and spreads the fun around. The top in the pic is very (too?) flexible, so I added that brace more as a cleat than a tone bar. Keep it from bulging too much. That brace/cleat is really thin. It's really lovely wood so I'm using it anyway:)
