Another no-name MIJ banjo. Don't worry about the origin. Just go look at it and decide if it is in decent, playable shape and sounds OK. (Ackkk - he used "sounds ok" and "banjo" in the same sentence :eek:). Seems like as a player's instrument, you cannot go far wrong for that price.
And it was Holland, MI and not overseas as I first thought. I moved away from Michigan a lot of years ago now..... |
These are often referred to as "Bottlecap" banjos due to the construction. Most are Asian in origin and very similar. Many have been modified, so I wouldn't put too much stock in the tuners, etc. being original.
Quality can vary significantly, so just play it and see how it goes. If you like it, and the price, go for it and have fun! |
