I went to the Hamilton Tiger-Cat vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers game in Hamilton tonight and to be nice the Ti-cats suck! I am off to Winnipeg next week and I am going to see the Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs Edmonton Eskimos

Some local high schools had their first games last night. Love it! Except for the NFL - I may watch three of their games this season. High school and college, yes!

My favorite time of year. I almost forgive the NFL for broadcasting a fixed Super Bowl so I'll watch my favorites, but I'll be watching more college ball this year.

Have been slowly losing my taste for football for many years. And now that I realize that when I am watching football, I am watching zealots sacrifice the integrity of their brain...well, that is just not so appealing, no mater how much I enjoy the strategy and the competition and the suspense and the beauty of the play. :sick::sick::sick:

It is too much like watching a drug addict or an alcoholic destroy their lives...it is their life, and they are entitled to use their time and health in any way they wish. But I am not obliged to watch it. And the fact that it can be entertaining and "fun" at turns does not obviate the bigger picture. YMMV.
