A year after George Michael passing

As my fellow half Cypriot George Michael died nearly a year ago unwanted to pay tribute in my own way. Here is my solo arrangement of Carleas Whisper

Beautiful! It's amazing how such a simple melody can be so haunting and memorable. Great job

That is beautiful, Mark. Love your tone!

Gorgeous, Mark, simply gorgeous. One of my all-time favorite pop songs.

Thanking you

I'm really pleased you guys like it. I really wasn't sure if it was up to standard. I hear a lot of holes in my performance here and was going to re-record it.

Yeah, lots & lots of gaping holes -- I'm surprised you put it out there for public consumption.

You know I'm kidding -- it is gorgeous.

We tend to focus on the things that we think are weak -- whether it be playing, certain aspects of our appearance, etc., and it's surprising to us when others don't notice.

Don't change a thing on this recording. Many guitarists and aspiring guitarists would die to be able to play like you, so own it and let us enjoy it. George would be proud.

I do understand what you mean and whenever I feel like I missed a couple notes here and there I tend to re-do it as well, but sometimes you just gotta let go. ;) I'm way to perfectionistic as well.

And yes, you missed notes, but it flows nicely and that's what it's all about :D

That song was always a guilty pleasure. The melody and lyrics so poignant. Nicely done.

Thanks man. That's really nice of you

Very nice. Tone and execution is superb. Great song. It is so often that I like cover interpretations much more than the original and that is certainly the case here. Great job!

Thanks Mark. And we have similar names :)

Really love this interpretation. Think I'll go listen again. Thanks for posting!

Yeah - that's great stuff there. A few days after he died I recorded a vocal version, but it's not in this league!

What a sweet interpretation. Well played, and the recording sparkles. Bravo!
