Bluetooth for older receiver. - Headphones.

Hi all.

I have an older receiver that I would like to use some wireless (bluetooth ? ) headphones with (that I have not purchased).

Do they make a black box of some sort that I could connect to the 1/4 " headphone jack ( or some other receiver output) that would be the Bluetooth (wireless) "transmitter" for then use with some tbd purchased buetooth wireless headphones. ?

Make sense ? :)

Thanks

Does it have to be Bluetooth? There are many, many, wireless headphones.

Sorry. No it does not have bluetooth. Hence the external black box thingy (if they make them) that i could connect externally to the existing 1/4 " headphone jack or some other output.

Does the headphone have to be Bluetooth? Not do you have Bluetooth.

I've been using a nice pair of wired headphones forever, but my lazy chair is 15 feet away from the receiver, so figured it be nice to go wireless.... Stop having my wife walking through the 15 foot headphone cord. :)

It seems they make BT adapters that connect to the line audio IN that allow you to play music FROM your BT cellphone, tablet, etc, but i want to go the other way... send it TO a BT device ( the bluetooth headphones.

They've been making wireless headphones since before there was bluetooth. Just go to Amazon and look for wireless headphones.

Thanks. The Avantree looks to be both a receiver and transmitter in one. Probably more than i need but for $60.00, what the heck. It has optical I/O which is nice.... I have them on my receiver which I currently dont use.
