What? No one has mentioned Paul McCartney's tenor guitar he used for the (placid) halftime show last night? hmm.. Guess I'll have to.

I thought it was a nice touch, but I also wondered at his having a guy on keyboards at the same time he was banging away on his piano.. Something funny going on there..

I thought he was playing his old Hofner "Beatle" bass.

DJR is right. It was his Hofner.

bleah.. okay.

I thought it was the tenor because the strings looked so thin from the camera's position.

I suspect that much of what we heard was actually prerecorded, mixed with "live." I'm OK with that in that situation.
