My Prayers Are Answered
Having fish tonight, needed a side dish so I thought I would do a fish n' chips kind of thing. Last time I fried potatoes I made a big mess so I bought a bag of steak fries for $2.99 and tried the oven bake method. When I had done this before they were pretty putrid so I was very happy and surprised when these came out edible. Great to see progress in cheap, frozen food. You don't even have to turn these suckers.
I'm feeling good about the rest of my life now that I have access to acceptable frozen pizza and steak fries. |

I've tried canned potatoes. They are cut up and cooked potatoes. I drain them and fry them up with butter and salt and pepper.

Try cooking the steak fries in an air fryer. Yum.

HHP, now that your life is complete, what will become of your guitars? I could provide a nice, loving home for them, and wouldn't even charge you anything! :guitar:

Geez, Harry. Don’t overdo it with the carbs. But I’m glad retirement is treating you well.

Ah yes, life is good...

Non-store brand frozen fries have been good for some time. Try the Idaho brand, if you can find them. I like the Checkers brand seasoned fries - and Nathan's onion rings, they go great with a cheeseburger from the grill.

I like fried potatoes. How did you mess them up last time?
