broken guitar case handle

I bought my 414ce in april. Yesterday evening, I was headed to church for practice, and when I pulled the guitar out of the back seat of my car, I noticed that the handle was broken. One of the metal pieces that attaches the handle to the body of the guitar case had snapped in two, so the handle is only attached to the case at one point now.

my question, is this covered by the taylor warrenty? If so, I just need to take it to the dealer and they can either fix it or replace it, correct? thanks for the help.

I'd give Taylor a call. Some people have reported that Taylor replaced the case, but your mileage may vary.

I had a problem with a deluxe case handle a few years back and Taylor sent me out a new one to replace it.

I had the same problem with mine (414 also) a few months ago. My local mom and pop dealer repaired it at no charge. Now whether it was their warranty or Taylor's, I don't know. I do know that it is repairable. Good luck

Call Taylor, if you are kind on the phone and express disapointment that such a quality product failed they will send you a replacement free. (They did for me and I was just unhappy with the way the handle looked). The design of the handle on the non premium cases that come with 400 and below guitars is sub-par and they know it.

It is easily repaired however, and if you recieve no joy from Taylor then that route wont cost you much.

I called my local dealer where I bought the guitar, and they called Taylor. Taylor is going to send a new case to the dealer, and I will go swap them out once the new case arrives. Thanks for all the help.
