Best All Solid Guitar Under $1,000?

a few I can think of:

Seagull Maritime series
Alvarez Masterworks
Epiphone Masterbuilt

there aren't as many as you think

Used Martin 15 series?

If you can stretch to $1100 you can pick up a Gibson J-15 on Amazon.

They are offering 18% off of $1349 right now.

I grabbed one.

The Matin GPCRSGT for $999 is also nice, I have that model also, but the Gibson sounds better.

Both come with hardshell cases.

Yamaha L 16-series, in mahogany or rosewood under torrefied Englemann spruce. Ebony bridge and 'board, maple binding, discrete passive UST, cases included. Wonderful guitars.

I don't know about "best," but some good ones I've played in the last couple of years:

under $1k new:

Alvarez Masterworks
Epiphone Masterbilt
Guild GAD/Westerly

under $1k used:

Gibson HP 415
Late '90s Gibson WM series
Martin 16 series
something by Eastman

I came in here to post this. Sub $1k I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Yamaha LS or LL 16 series. Simon & Patrick or Seagull also have some nice offerings in that price bracket. There are several Blueridge and Recording King models in that price range that get good reviews. There's also Eastman, who make fantastic guitars.

02 series from Larrivee. I know many will question the validity of this, so here:

Larrivee D-02 - $899 here: http://www.notableguitars.com/Larrivee1.html

Or a used Larrivee 03 series?

Blueridge BR140 (vintage D18 copy), BR160 (vintage D28 copy), BG140 (vintage J-45 copy), BG160 (vintage J-45 Rosewood copy).

Yamaha also has an all solid wood line under $1k.

+2

My family recently bought an LS16M for my 15 year old niece's birthday. I was responsible for picking it out.

Street price for a new one in a hardshell is ~$700. I bought a B-stock unit (that appeared untouched) for $550 delivered.

Amazing guitar, I was secretly hoping my niece wouldn't like it so that I could keep it...

Not saying it is the "best" solid guitar under ~$1000, but it's very very worthy of consideration.

+1 for the Larrivee 02 guitars, or the Blueridge solid wood guitars if you’re ok with pac rim.

With the ones mentioned so far, you can get an awesome guitar for under 1K and if you go used, an even "awesomer" one.

Eastman E10P, Blueridge 341 & 371. These are three that I own & I'm sure there are lots more out there.

Martin Road Series.

Not seeing that deal on Amazon right now ????
