PSA: Pick Boxes @ Elderly Instruments

Elderly Instruments is having a special on their wooden (cherry?) pick boxes with the sliding covers. You can get two for $11.94, free shipping. Or you can get one for half that price and pay shipping. So it's a no-brainer two-fer! My order is in. Great stocking stuffers.

A great deal!

I encourage everyone to have a special place for their tuner, capos, and picks. Here's my homebrew box made from leftover bits:

Rudy that's nicer than most of my guitars.

All of my guitars has it's own "pick box" with an old Intelli clip on tuner (spares really) a Shubb Capo adusted for that guitar, and three or fouf picks, usually a Blue chip TAD, a Wegen TF, and something else, that I'm "experimenting" with.

The pick box is A Ww1 Princess Mary box which I buy as necessary. They are strong, profound and fit into ther accessory case of every guitar case.

When I perform, the Box is put on a chair or table bedside me, so I can't "lose a pick and when I close it I know I have all my stuff together.

I use rolling tobacco tins. I gave up the filthy habit many many years ago but hung on to these useful tins.

Oh yeah, for my sixes, I also have an old tobacco tin with a spare CR2032, a nail file, a tiny pair of pliers, and a plastic winder. I was going to photograph that too, but then I realised that it has a word on it that the sensitive amongst us might have some sort of a paroxysm.

They're attractive, but how many picks fit in there? I might just stick with my Altoids tins. ;-)

Guess I'll find out. I just bought a pair and some stuff from their closeout page.

I can leave vast sums of cash in this one - nobody wants to touch it.

I don't know, I haven't received mine yet. I imagine it depends on the size and type of picks. Anyway, it sure sounds like a good deal.

It said they slip in a pocket, so I imagine they're very small.
