SOLD Santa Cruz 1929 00 shade burst - SOLD!!
Price dropped SOLD pending funds.
For sale is my 2010 Santa Cruz 1929 00 12-fret all mahogany acoustic guitar in their beautiful shade burst finish. This guitar is in near mint condition with one tiny finish dent just above the sound hole. If you don't know about the SC 1929 all-hog guitars they are incredibly versatile, light weight, extremely resonant tone machines. These little blues boxes channel some serious pre-war blues mojo but are also outstanding fingerstyle players that take a pick equally well. The dry, mids-forward tone is perfect for many styles of play. There are no shortage of glowing reviews and demo's on YouTube - just do a search. Eric Skye has a couple great demo videos along with many, many more. Comes with a new hard case and also throwing in a beautiful LuteHole sound hole cover (shown below). I bought this because this model as a slightly smaller sound hole so the regular Fuzz Buster types don't fit and I wanted something much nicer looking than the ugly black rubber. This was like a $65 accessory new. The guitar is a 24.75" short scale, 1 3/4" nut, 2 3/16" spacing and a V shaped neck. Paddle headstock for easy string changes. GOTOH open back tuners with ebony buttons. Ebony bridge and fret board. Guitar has a K&K Pure Mini pickup professionally installed by local renowned guitar luthier Pat Diburro who is the go-to guy for Martin, Collings and Taylor certified warranty work. This is the second SC 1929 00 I've owned. The first was the non-burst model (shown below side-by-side) but when I saw the sexy, dark burst finish I knew I wanted that one so bought one and sold the other. Nothing wrong with the guitar, I've just got a custom inbound and I'm going in a different direction right now - all carbon fiber. Asking price is $SOLD which includes shipping, insurance and Pay Pal fees to your door. Not looking for trades with the possible exception of something special like a custom Martin 000 short scale. A Norman Blake model would be cool. Something along those lines or a one-off custom. If you've got something like that, hit me up on PM. PM me with any questions. Lots of trade offers rolling in. Most deviate from the very narrow thing I'm looking for - Martin, 000 something 14 fret, custom or something special. I do have one very interesting trade offer that fits that bill. Would still rather sell so going to entertain more offers for a week while I'm on vacation since I can't ship until I get back anyway.
Make an offer to buy or trade. |
Sunday morning bump!

Love my 000 1929 sunburst. Very good price on this one and, speaking from experience, Scott is a real gentleman and great to deal to deal with. Santa Cruz makes great guitars.
|
Thanks, Frank! You were a joy to deal with as well. Glad to see you still have that X20!!
I just put my SC into DADGAD tuning - whoa! Talk about a whole other dimension of out-of-this-world tone! A couple more trade offers but still only the one up my alley. And of course would still rather sell. Make an offer. |
Good Tuesday morning! Another day, another bump, another day closer to making a trade!!

Hump (day) bump

Thursday - sigh, my vacation is winding down!
